He has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and is certified in Clinical Acupuncture (which he studied in Sri Lanka), Active Release Technique, and in Clinical Nutrition.
He is an avid runner and has done everything from 5K races to marathons. He also plays and coaches hockey. Dr. Rick lives in Toronto with his wife and four children.
He has worked with Isagenix in his clinics and throughout North America and Hong Kong since December 2006. Isagenix has allowed him to create a six-figure passive income stream over and above his chiropractic business income within the first 2 and a half years doing it part-time (2 hours per night, 4-5 days per week).
As a result, he has stopped trading time for money and in 2010, he sold one of his practices to his associate. This has allowed him to reduce his clinic hours from 29 per week to just part time hours of 16 per week and given him the opportunity to spend more time with his family and take on a larger role to grow his Isagenix business.
How were you introduced to Isagenix?
At my clinic through one of my practice members, Mary Meldrum, who is a trusted professional business woman. She had great success using this nutritional cleanse that addressed some of her mid-life challenges she had with energy, sleep and temperature fluctuations.
She was also a financial planner and understood how I was running on a proverbial hamster exercise wheel, trading time for money and never really getting a chance to step off.
Your previous profession:
Doctor of Chiropractic and ran two clinics in Toronto since 1989.
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Best tip for building:
Reach out to your circle of influence because you just never know who they may know and look for others who are the connectors and mavens who have a large circle of influence. Also look for great “communicators” and “business minded people” and not just “sales people” or “product users”.
Co-creation and the idea of multiplication of your team by mentoring and enabling the low number leaders into high number leaders versus just mentoring the high number ones. Using regular training calls and the accountability e-mails.
Staying connected and get to Executive and stay “Paid as Executive”. Thank you Susan…I know, it’s easy…it’s a grid
Just hit the new “30” (aka 50) in 2010!
Current Isagenix Rank:
5-Star Golden Circle, 2-Star Crystal Executive
